Russian Language Lecturers Visit E-Mort School, Encourage Language Learning

A delegation of Russian language lecturers from the University of Ghana’s Department of Modern Languages and Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University, accompanied by the Consul of the Russian Embassy in Accra, visited a local school to promote language learning and cultural exchange.

The visitors, including Professor Ildiko Csajbok-Twerefou, Dr. Albert Antwi Boasiako, Alexander Yevgenyevich Kuptsov, Artur Vakhitov, Abigail Quayson, and Kravets Valeriia Adreevna, were warmly welcomed with Russian language greetings. The purpose of the visit was to interact with pupils learning Russian and inspire them to continue acquiring a second language in the 21st century.

The children impressed the guests with their proficiency in Russian, showcasing their skills through songs, object identification, alphabet recitation, and more. The visitors presented gifts and learning materials to the school to support language instruction. Professor Alexander Preko, founder and director of the school, encouraged the pupils to actively engage in language learning, highlighting its benefits in the modern world. This visit aimed to strengthen cultural ties and promote language education between Ghana and Russia.
